January 7, 2025
My Dear Friends,
Over the past few years, many of you have asked me about my plans for retirement and I have told you that I have tried to put off the inevitable day as long as possible. However, circumstances now dictate that I advise you will be resigning from this office on March 31, 2025. Knowing this day would eventually come, I have thought hard about some profound or enlightening words to leave with you but have come to realize that my final message to you is a very simple one, it is warm sentiments of appreciation and gratitude. I will be forever grateful to you for affording me your confidence and trust, and for heeding my advice when it was given. In reflection, I hope I have proven myself worthy of that trust.
If one uses how happy one has been at his job as a barometer of how successful his life’s work has been, then my career was truly a triumphant one. This I owe to all of you for I feel I have had more than my fair share of frivolousness because of our good times together. We have shared many laughs and even shed a few tears over our years together and I thank you for so unconditionally allowing me into your lives and the lives of your families. I truly appreciate you according me this kindness.
I wish also to acknowledge how fortunate I have been to be the recipient of your unyielding loyalty, even when things did not always go exactly as planned. Thank you for realizing that my intentions were always to provide you with the very best care possible.
I depart with the comfort of knowing that I am leaving you in the capable hands of Dr. Khai Pham, whom some of you have seen on an emergency basis and know him to be kind and caring. I urge you to continue visiting him for I am sure he will endeavor to treat your dental concerns with the same consideration and diligence that I have.
There are no words to accurately describe how much I will miss seeing you all. I do hope that our paths will cross again in the near future so that I can personally thank each of you for sharing this exhilarating journey with me.
I wish you all good health and much happiness always.
Kind regards,
Wayne
